Two pilots were killed when their small plane crashed shortly after taking off from a western Philippine province, an air force spokesman said Sunday. Lieutenant Colonel Restituto Padilla said the plane crashed about five nautical miles from Coron town in the western province of Palawan late Saturday. "The plane crashed on a mountain and the bodies of the two pilots were recovered early Sunday," he said. The ill-fated aircraft was carrying live fish for delivery to Manila. Padilla said the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, noting that the weather in the area was clear when the plane embarked on its journey.
