Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 87th meeting today, in the presence of the members of the Committee representing a number of the relevant governmental entities. During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed. Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, who is also spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that 2840 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the new cases were reported in many cities and governorates in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 52016 cases, including 28048 active cases and 166 critical cases. He also pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 66% for non-Saudis and 34% for Saudi nationals. The number of the new recoveries is 1797, bringing the total number of recoverees to 23666, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said, adding that the number of the new deaths is 10, bringing the total death toll to 302.
