Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 82nd meeting today, in the presence of the members of the Committee representing a number of the relevant governmental entities. During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed. Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali who is also Spokesperson of the Health Ministry said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is 4122173 cases, of which 1420393 cases have been cured to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 283001. Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that 1966 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the new cases were reported in many cities and governorates in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 41014 cases, including 28022 active cases and 149 critical cases. He also pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 62% for non-Saudis and 38% for Saudi nationals. The number of the new recoveries is 1280, bringing the total number of recoverees to 12737, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said, adding that the number of the new deaths is 9, bringing the total death toll to 255.
