Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 86th meeting today, in the presence of the members of the Committee representing a number of the relevant governmental entities. During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed. Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, who is also spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that 2307 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the new cases were reported in many cities and governorates in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 49176 cases, including 27015 active cases and 167 critical cases. He also pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 59% for non-Saudis and 41% for Saudi nationals. The number of the new recoveries is 2818, bringing the total number of recoverees to 21869, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said, adding that the number of the new deaths is 9, bringing the total death toll to 292.
