SPA - A 21-member Chinese delegation led by Ismail Tilwaldi, Governor of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has met Pakistan's Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao and exchanged views on mutual cooperation in trade, business, communication infrastructure, culture, tourism elimination of terrorism and extremism between Pakistan and China. According to an official statement, the minister said the visit of the delegation will further strengthen the already close friendly relations between Pakistan and China. Sherpao said that he was greatly impressed by the progress the Chinese region has made and per capita income in China it has. The minister appreciated the facilities for the promotion of border trade between the two countries. There are a lot of opportunities for Pakistani businessmen to further strengthen trade and business between the countries, he added. Sherpao appreciated the contribution and role of China in the construction of Gwadar Port in Pakistan's Balochistan province and Karakoram Highway. Ismail Tilwaldi highlighted the importance of friendly and neighbourly relations between Pakistan and China and termed terrorism and extremism as a common threat to the two countries.
