Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf leaves for Beijing for a six-day visit to China Thursday. He will hold talks with top Chinese leaders including the Chinese President. In an interview to Chinese news agency, Xinhua, Musharraf lauded China's assistance on mega projects in Pakistan and said his government encourages Chinese entrepreneurs to invest more in his country to achieve win-win results. He appreciated China's assistance on mega projects, including the Karakoram Highway, a link between Pakistan and China, which is under expansion, and the Gwadar Port. The President asked for more Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan to achieve win-win results. He said that the two countries also have close cooperation in fighting terrorism. Musharraf said that Pakistan-China relationship is broad-based and it would witness further development in the future. Besides strong diplomatic relations between the two countries, Musharraf said, "Pakistan and China have also maintained good cooperation in education, defense production, trade and international affairs."
