Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali who is also Spokesperson of the Health Ministry said that 1552 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a joint press conference today with Assistant Deputy Minister of Health for Preventive Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Assiri, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that the new cases covered many cities and governorates in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the confirmed cases today represent 81% for non-Saudis with 1251 cases and 19% for Saudis with 301 cases. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total number of COVID19-infected cases in the Kingdom is 27,011, including 22,693 active cases and 139 critical cases. The number of new recoveries is 369, bringing the total recoveries to 4134 cases. The number of new deaths is 8, bringing the total deaths to 184 cases. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide is more than 3400000 cases, of which 1100000 cases have been cured to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 244000.
