Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul-Rahman Al-Attiyah praised on Sunday big strides made by the Council's member states in the field of agricultural cooperation. In an address at the 16th meeting of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee earlier today in Kuwait city, Al-Atiyyah said the GCC leaders have been giving a great attention to the issue of food security. Al-Atiyyah pointed out that the GCC General Secretariat is keen on enhancing technical cooperation with the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.
