Makkah Police: Death of traffic policeman who was run over by vehicle whose driver failed to stop at one of security checkpoints on Al-Haramain Road in Jeddah; driver arrested

The media spokesperson for the police of Makkah Region, Major Mohammed Abdel Wahab Al-Ghamdi, stated that during the work of a traffic patrol on the evening of Sunday at one of the security checkpoints on Al-Haramain Road east of Jeddah Governorate, a traffic officer was run over by a vehicle whose driver failed to comply with instructions to stop and drove away at a high speed; this resulted in the death of the security man and the driver of the violating vehicle, a citizen in the third decade of his life, was arrested and regular measures were taken against him.
