Highways patrols opened fire Tuesday on a vehicle carrying illegal aliens after the driver sped through a red traffic light. Police pursued the vehicle and ordered the driver to stop, and when he failed to respond they opened fire on the tires of his car to bring it to a halt. The driver and one of the illegal aliens in the vehicle were detained after trying to escape on foot, and the other passengers were also arrested.
