Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has played a pivotal role in serving of Islam along with promoting and supporting of Islamic solidarity and the unity of Muslims in facing the challenges, in addition to disseminating the values of tolerance and moderation, rejecting extremism and terrorism. The paper added that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has affirmed that the Kingdom spares no effort in achieving cooperation, unified views, peace and security in Muslim world. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial entitled (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness on the unity of the Islamic nation) that the confirmation made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Malaysian Prime Minister, via a telephone call, that the issues of the Islamic nation must be discussed through an organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC), has reflected the kingdom's keenness on unity among Muslims, and that all their issues should be discussed through the platform authorized to do so. The paper added that holding any meetings to discuss such issues outside the framework of OIC is considered as violation of Islamic solidarity, as the OIC is the unified voice for Muslims, and the only platform for unifying their views and discussing all their issues.
