Korean President, Saudi HRH Crown Prince Hold Extended Meeting

President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held an extended meeting at the presidential Blue House in Seoul today.
At the outset of the meeting, HRH Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the President of the Republic of Korea.
HRH Crown Prince thanked the President for welcoming him in the Republic of Korea, which reflects deep-rooted historical relations and ties between the two peoples.
HRH Crown Prince said that our strategic partnership represents an opportunity to add value to the two countries to support and develop capabilities and cooperation, where our countries enjoy strategic partnership in many areas of cooperation, including politics, security, defense, economy and cultural and social affairs.
HRH Crown Prince added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has developed a historic transformation plan, the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This ambitious step covers three pillars including a thriving economy, a vibrant society and an ambitious homeland. Through this vision, we hope that the Kingdom will be a pioneering investment force and a link between continents of the world.
HRH Crown Prince praised the efforts of the Korean President since taking office for the welfare of the Korean citizens and the fight against corruption, stressing that this is one of priorities adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
HRH Crown Prince expressed his happiness over the development of the Republic of Korea in the Five Year Plan (2017-2022), pointing to the opportunities of cooperation between the Kingdom and the Republic of Korea through the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding to promote cooperation and investment between the two countries in the fields of energy, automotive, communications, 5th Generation Technologies, health and cooperation in scientific, cultural and social fields.
HRH Crown Prince also said that we are aware of unused enormous potentials and partnership between the two countries and the opportunities to increase trade and investment between the two countries, as well as the development of defense capabilities and economic prosperity through the joint construction of industries and the development of human capital and improving the quality of life between the two peoples. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a great experience with the Republic of Korea in the past and we want to repeat it in a bigger and better way for the benefit of our two countries.
