British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday received HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, at the Prime Minister's Office at 10 Downing Street in London, where they held a bilateral meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, the British Prime Minister welcomed HRH the Crown Prince on his current visit. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the British Prime Minister who wished to convey her greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. HRH the Crown Prince expressed his pleasure in receiving the invitation to visit the United Kingdom to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss issues of common concern. The meeting was followed by the first meeting of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council, chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Britain. During the meeting, they reviewed the close historical relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance their strategic partnership in various fields, including economic, trade, investment, education, health, culture, defense and security fields, as well as the opportunities offered by the Kingdom's Vision 2030. They also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and efforts exerted to achieve security and stability in the region, including fighting terrorism and combating extremism. The meeting was attended by the official delegation accompanying His Royal Highness and a number of ministers and senior British officials. The Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Britain signed a memorandum of understanding on scientific and educational cooperation and a joint memorandum of cooperation for relief and humanitarian work.
