A modest earthquake jolted the Iranian city of Bam on Monday, raising memories of the catastrophic quake in December that killed more than 30,000 people, the news agency IRNA reported. The tremor measured 4.2 on the Richter scale. According to official figures, more than 30,000 were killed in last years quake, but residents of the southeastern city said the death toll was double that. Reconstruction of Bam is expected to take at least two years and will cost an estimated 1.5 billion dollars.
