Gold traded in London at US$893.30 bid per troy ounce at midmorning, up from US$879.45 on Monday. In Zurich, gold traded at US$890.40 bid per troy ounce, up from US$879.45. Silver opened in London at US$16.87 bid per troy ounce, up from US$16.56.
