The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. The Minister of Media Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on latest developments in the region and the world. The Cabinet stressed the statement issued by the Quartet meeting in London to discuss latest developments in the Republic of Yemen and ways to support the efforts of the United Nations envoy to Yemen. The Cabinet reviewed the Kingdom's participation in the Second Forum of Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation held in Beijing, the People's Republic of China, noting the integration of the Chinese "Belt and Road" initiative and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 pertaining to the development of both countries, building a sustainable future economy based on the knowledge society and emerging technologies, and the Kingdom's contribution to raising the level of regional prosperity by transforming it into a major logistics industrial platform targeting West Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's refusal of interfering in the internal affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and anything infringing on its sovereignty, security and stability, expressing the Kingdom's looking forward to strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Iraq being prevailed by mutual respect and contributing to achieving regional security and stability.
