Chinese ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Li Huaxin affirmed that his country considers the Kingdom Vision 2030 as an opportunity for integration between the two countries in various fields, pointing out that China has the initiative of "Belt and Road" which is compatible with the Kingdom Vision 2030. In a press statement, the Chinese ambassador stressed that a visit paid by Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Sheikh Dr. Walid Al-Samaani to Chain is a new round of consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries. "Al-Samaani's visit to China was an opportunity for holding talks on action plans in China. The two sides held fruitful talks," the ambassador said, adding that the Saudi Minister of Justice briefed the Chinese officials on the judicial system in the Kingdom. "The two sides discussed a draft agreement for civil and commercial judicial cooperation agreement between the two countries. This agreement is co-welcomed because the Kingdom Vision 2030 and its programs represent a great opportunity to deepen partnership and commercial exchange in addition to development of humane and cultural relations," he added, disclosing that the People's Republic of China translated the Kingdom Vision into the Chinese language. "Following translating the Kingdom Vision 2030, various authorities in China carried out extensive studies on the vision. They reached that this vision holds promising opportunities for the two countries. The Kingdom Vision is compatible with "Belt and Road" and "Silk Road" initiatives, which are based on the principles of participation in discussion, construction and utilization. The vision covers political, infrastructure, financial, commercial, cultural and humanitarian aspects," the Chinese ambassador said. With regard to legal measures taken by the Saudi government against corruption recently, the Chinese Ambassador affirmed that it is an ambitious initiative to clean up the investment environment for the benefit of all partners, including the Chinese companies, which always receive strict instructions from the Chinese government to abide by the law and respect features of the Saudi environment and society. "The new steps taken by the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in launching commercial courts in different regions reflect a tangible evidence that the Kingdom is a state of law and sends a message to the world that it is working to establish the right and justice in order to support the investment environment in the Kingdom," he added. He stressed the importance of the developments witnessed by the Kingdom in all aspects, pointing out that the trade exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China reached $70 billion in the years before the oil prices' decline. According to statistics in 2016, the trade volume between the two countries is $43 billion. The Chinese ambassador asserted that there are joint desire between the two countries to expand the bilateral relation into wider horizons. With regard to the cultural field, he added that the two sides agreed to translate 50 Saudi books into Chinese as well as 50 Chinese books into Arabic. The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom appreciated the initiative of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies through launching its Chinese website in addition to Arabic and English on the occasion of the Saudi-Chinese Cultural Dialogue.
