The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its concern about the military escalation in the Libyan capital Tripoli, calling on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any armed escalation that could lead to chaos, which threatens security and peace and foil the process of comprehensive reconciliation in the country. OIC called to pay efforts from all parties to maintain the security and stability of Libya and make the supreme interest of Libya and the unity of its people and land above all considerations. The OIC General Secretariat said that dialogue is the only way to resolve disputes, confirming its support for the efforts of the United Nations aimed at achieving comprehensive national reconciliation there, through the promotion of Libyan national dialogue aimed at reaching a comprehensive peace settlement.
