OIC calls on Libyan parties to immediately stop violence in Tripoli

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on all parties in Libya to exercise restraint and avoid any armed escalation in the capital Tripoli, which could lead to chaos that threatens peace and security and aborts the process of comprehensive reconciliation in the country.
The Secretary-General of the organization, Dr.Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen expressed support for the government of national reconciliation in line with the resolutions adopted by the OIC and its full support for the process of building, stability and security in Libya, with a view to reaching a comprehensive peace settlement, stressing the commitment of OIC to harness its full potential to achieve this goal.
