Prayers in absentia for the those who have been died as martyrs, during, recently, terrorist attacks on two mosques, in Christchurch, New Zealand, were held, at the Two Holy Mosques, the Grand Mosque, in Makkah as well as the Prophet Mosque, in Madinah. The worshippers prayed that may the Al-Mighty Allah bestows mercy and forgiveness upon them, He may accord them the best reception, provide their living akin with patience and the injured with speedy recovery. Commenting on the events, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the President General of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet Mosque Affairs said that the holding of the prayers, in absentia, for those martyrs, reflect the attention paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to causes related to Islam and Muslims, alike, all over the world, and the Kingdom unflinching stance in fighting extremism and combat terrorism, as the latter has neither a specific religion nor a declared motherland.
