RIYADH —The 19th edition of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), which ended in Riyadh on Thursday, concluded that it was the largest ever in the history of the forum in terms of attendance, exceeding the 11,000 in-person participants barrier. Organized by the United Nations, the forum was attended by experts and specialists from 170 countries, in addition to more than 1,000 international speakers who led more than 300 sessions and workshops. The forum saw the launch of the Riyadh Declaration, which represents a roadmap to enhance international partnerships and unify efforts toward harnessing digital technologies and artificial intelligence to serve humanity, reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting sustainable development at the regional and international levels. Riyadh's hosting of the 19th edition of the Internet Governance Forum comes as part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to consolidate its leading position as a major contributor to discussing and formulating international digital trends, and to enhance its position as an important center for digital innovation and international cooperation.
