President of the Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdulhamid has received here on Thursday, visiting Saudi minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and accompanying delegation, including Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, government senior officials and a number of major Saudi companies' executives. During the reception, Dr. Al-Qasabi conveyed greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy to the President. Dr. Al-Qasabi also met with Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed, where they discussed bilateral relations and means of boosting cooperation between the two countries, especially, in the field of trade and investment, in addition to signing two agreements in the field of solar energy and electrical transformers, four memoranda of understanding in the fields of packaging, food industries, cable manufacturing, fertilizer manufacturing, technical cooperation and training, in medical technology. An official consultative meeting was held, too, under the co-chairmanship of Dr. Al-Qasabi and the Bangladeshi Minister of Finance Mustafa Kemal, which was concluded by agreeing to form a joint working group to monitor and study investment opportunities, economic competitive advantages, in the two countries, and to establish a Saudi-Bangladesh Business Council.
