Prime Minister of Bangladesh Hasina Wazed received at her guest residence in Riyadh today Chairman of the Saudi Chambers Union Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi. During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh affirmed the strong and distinguished bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Bangladesh. She disclosed that the bilateral trade between the two countries exceeds $1 billion in 2017 while the size of the Saudi investments in Bangladesh is $5 billion, welcoming the Saudi investments in the sectors of capital markets, energy, telecommunications and information technology, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical industries, shipbuilding, agricultural industry, technological innovation, water, infrastructure, manufacturing, banking services and financial logistics. For his part, the Chairman of the Saudi Chambers said that the two countries have common ground, inviting entrepreneurs in Bangladesh to participate in implementation of projects of the Kingdom Vision 2030. The meeting was attended by Abul Hassan Mahmood, Bangladeshi Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of officials. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Saudi and Bangladeshi companies signed five agreements in the fields of construction, energy, industry, aviation, tourism and insurance services.
