The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the terrorist attacks in a number of villages in eastern Burkina Faso by armed men on September 14 and 15 including a mosque in Diabiga village, which resulted in killing five worshipers and injuring three others. OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed his condemnation of these criminal acts aimed at the security of the country, urging the local authorities to make every effort to arrest the culprits and their supporters and bring them to justice, as well as extending his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Burkina Faso's government. Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's stance against all forms of violence and terrorism, expressing his organization's firm solidarity with the government of Burkina Faso in its determination to combat terrorism.
