Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been strongly oriented towards combating corruption and protecting public funds,since the establishment of National Anti-Corruption Commission in 2011. The newspaper said that Anti-Corruption Committee formed under chairmanship of HRH Crown Prince has summoned 381 people for corruption cases, and retrieved SAR 400 billion from defendants. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the Warsaw Conference to be held in Poland on February 13 and 14 and attended by representatives of about 70 countries, will witness a number of decisions that deter Iranian ambitions in the region, especially after its involvement in supporting and financing terrorism in many countries of the East and West. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias are unwilling to reach any peace settlement in Yemen, and continuing thwarting the Sweden agreement by violating any cease-fire truce. The newspaper said that the international community must be aware that a flexible policy in dealing with violations of Houthi militias will exacerbate the crisis and bring more negative repercussions on the security of the region.
