Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the air transport industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is entering a new phase to meet global developments. The paper noted that the budget allocated for air industrial development projects is estimated at SR 40 billion, including projects for establishing new airports and developing existing airports. Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that it became clear that Houthi militias are unwilling to reach any peace settlement in Yemen. The newspaper pointed out that Houthi militias have thwarted all successive international efforts to reach best and optimal rational formulas for peace settlement, the latest one, the Sweden agreement, and continue to violate any cease-fire truce. Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that Saudi authorities have announced clearly the details of the case of killing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and bringing the involved to trial in a transparent and fair manner. The newspaper added that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to trade politically in the Khashoggi's case, and keep it alive for cheap political extortion in a failed attempt to distract the public from his massive human rights violations in his country and the large file of arrests since 2016.
