Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper commented on Iran, saying that it is necessary that the United Nations Security Council discusses the issue and imposes deterrent sanctions against Iran as the Iranian aggressive approach towards the neighboring countries poses a serious threat to the security of these countries, noting that this regime has been providing ballistic missiles for Houthi militias for launching them against the Kingdom, and the latest one fired on Riyadh. The paper said that the Security Council should deter the Iranian regime as the primary sponsor of the phenomenon of terrorism in the world, as well as Houthi militias in Yemen, terrorist Hezbollah in Lebanon and other terrorist factions and organizations around the world which pose threats to the global stability and security.
