Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan affirmed the importance of consolidating the joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey in all fields. During her meeting with Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi on the sidelines of the 34th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) held in Istanbul, the Turkish minister called upon the Saudi investors anew to take advantage of the opportunities provided by Turkey in light of governmental investment facilitations, disclosing that the environment in Turkey is attractive and incentive. The Turkish Trade Minister pointed out that the Turkish government supports whatever enhances more Saudi value-added investments and works to overcome all difficulties and remove all obstacles facing Saudi businessmen. She highlighted the Turkish companies' desire in the contracting sector to establish strategic partnerships with the Saudi side to contribute in implementing major projects in the Kingdom, which come within the Kingdom Vision 2030. For his part, the Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment affirmed the Kingdom's keenness on continuation of joint cooperation between the two countries and support of the strategic partnerships in various fields. He called for holding meetings and organizing joint events for the private sector in the two friendly countries in order to enhance the economic and investment cooperation. This came during the Kingdom's participation at the 34th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) held in Istanbul. The Kingdom's delegation to meeting was led by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. The session was inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan where the meeting aims to discuss issues pertaining to the economic and investment fields among the Islamic countries. Meanwhile, Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi also met with Iraqi Minister of Trade Dr. Mohammed Hashim Al-Ani; Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tariq Hammouri, and Chief of State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Lieutenant-general Safar Mehdiev. During the meetings, opportunities of joint cooperation and commercial and investment exchange were discussed.
