Several powerful earthquakes were reported late Sunday off Canada's Pacific coast near Vancouver Island. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the most powerful one hit 239 kilometers west of Tofino, Canada at a depth of 10 kilometers. The three biggest earthquakes ranged from magnitude 6.8 to 6.5. They were lightly felt onshore, and no injuries were reported. The National Tsunami Warning Center said no tsunami was expected.
