Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, participating in the second Extraordinary Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), headed by the Acting President of the Saudi Post Corporation, initially, signed the conference documents, concluded in Addis Ababa. These documents included the constitution, the general regulations, the rules of procedure of the conferences and the World Postal Convention, and the amendments made to the articles of the conference. Second extraordinary congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) was held, in the headquarters of the African Post Union, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at the Nelson Mandela Auditorium, for five days, with the participation of 141 countries. The conference is part of the ongoing efforts of United Nations agencies to reform the postal sector, accelerate decision-making, support operators, in the postal sector, expand and modernize operations through the introduction of new technologies. Latest gathering is a continuation of the periodic conferences of UPU members, aimed at improving and accelerating the decision-making processes of the Union and strengthening the postal sector's relationship with social and economic development.
