The Ministry of Media launched a live broadcasting of Hajj rituals of this year, on a number of platforms of social networking sites, namely "Twitter and Facebook," in addition to live broadcasting through an account on the "YouTube", around the clock, through which it covers Hajj from Makkah and the other holy sites. Director General of the Government and International Communication Center Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth said that the initiative falls under the guidance of Minister of Media Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, as a gift from the Ministry to Muslims all over the world. He pointed out that the ministry has provided 19 channels transmitting in six languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, Malay, French and German, in order to highlight the efforts exerted to best serve the pilgrims. Confirming completion of preparations and equipment for the launch of high technology devices to ensure the of clarity of sound and high resolution imagery and the continuation of broadcasting through HD technology, he highlighted the ministry, its bodies and centers working to take advantage of the mutations, in the world, in the field of IT innovations and social media networking, to develop services and increase rates of diffusion, around the world. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Media has launched the Hajj account 1439 H., which covers and disseminate the events of the Hajj, at the rate of more than 120 tweets per day, and the account reviews all glimpses and initiatives launched by government agencies, participating in the Hajj. The ministry had earlier, also, launched the motto as well as the brand of the Hajj of this year, on its portal, under the title "https://hajj.media.gov.sa/."
