Minister of Media Reviews latest Preparations for Hajj Season of the Year, at Ritual Venues

Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Media, confirmed here today that the ministry is fully prepared for covering the rituals of the this Years' Hajj season, highlighting the Ministry's preparations for carrying out pilgrimage plan for the mechanisms through which the ministry use to facilitate the tasks of the local, Arab and international media coverage of the pilgrimage rituals, during an inspection tour he conducted, at Saudi Press Agency, Television and Broadcasting Authorities' offices, in Arafat and Mina ritual places.
The tour started with a visit to Arafat's rites, during which he inspected the media center of the Ministry of Media to serve media guests from inside and outside the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Awwad inspected Saudi Press Agency office, first, and listened to a detailed explanation of the news, photographs, reports, video clips, and information provided by its website www.spa.gov.sa and accounts on social networking (Twitter, Facebook), in Arabic, English, French, Farsi, Russian, Chinese to media delegations covering Hajj, through media centers set up by the Ministry of Media, in Makkah and other ritual places.
After that, he inspected the tower for the radio and television station and watched the modern television and radio studios equipped with modern technical devices to convey this event and its realities to the world.
The Minister stressed the readiness of the Ministry of Media, and media bodies to implement the set plan to transfer pilgrimage rituals this year and facilitate the tasks of audio and video coverage of Hajj, in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In a press statement following the tour, he praised ministry's media preparations for the event, stressing that the regional and global media are our partners and that the ministry of media is keen to provide them with facilities that enable them to cover and report this great event, as more than two million pilgrims, from all over the world, come to perform their rituals safely and conveniently.
