Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Confronting Iranian arrogance'' wrote that it seems that the ruling regime in Tehran has not yet understood the changes that have taken place in the world and the Middle East specifically during the last three years aiming to implement more firm policies in confronting the Iranian expansion and what this regime, out of the international law, poses a clear threat to international peace and security. The paper noted that Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America reiterated the Kingdom's position in support of independence and sovereignty of Arab states and strengthening their legitimate institutions, regardless of their sectarian or ideological affiliations in the face of the projects of extremism, terrorism and chaos being spread by Iran through its sectarian militias. Okaz newspaper in its editorial on Iran said that it seems that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wanted to test his fortunes by making a statement that would pose a serious threat to the United States of America that the war with Iran would be the "mother of battles," but Rowhani must have been surprised by President Donald Trump who promised by a response that has not been tested by a few in history, coincided with the announcement by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that Rouhani and Jawad Zarif are nothing more than a facade of Mafia-led mullahs, not a government.
