Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti participated in the High-Level International Conference on Sustainable Development in Water 2018-2028, which is currently being held in the city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 6-8 / 10 / 1439H. Al-Mushaiti highlighted Saudi Arabian great efforts in adopting integrated water resources management to sustain them for present and future generations. He also thanked the State of Tajikistan for holding this important conference and for the generous and well-organized. Al-Mushaiti was accompanied by a number of specialists from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the General Corporation for Desalination of Salt Water, and the National Water Company. The conference was opened by the President of Tajikistan Imam Ali Rakhmanov and attended by more than 1,000 participants from 100 countries, including Heads of State and Government, Ministers, and senior officials, representatives of United Nations organizations, international and regional organizations, international financial institutions, business communities, NGOs and civil society. The Conference discussed the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan as well as the importance of monitoring, financing, capacity development, innovation, technology, knowledge, information and data, and best practices and promoting partnership to implement those objectives.
