About 56 ships transited the Suez Canal today with a total cargo of 3.5 million tons. The north-bound convoy included 30 ships laden with 700,000 tons while south-bound convoy included 26 vessels laden with 1.8 Million tons, according to a statement by the Suez Canal Authority.
