As many as 44 vessels transited the Suez Canal today, with a total cargo of 3,000,000 tons. The north-bound convoy included 21 vessels laden with 1,700,000 tons while the south-bound convoy included 23 vessels was carrying 1,300,000 tons, according to a statement by the Suez Canal Authority.
