Saudi Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, has hailed the humanitarian role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, to support those affected in various countries, including in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), following the inauguration of King Abdullah Educational Hospital at Mansehra District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, Al-Maliki said that the hospital is a grant from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the brotherly Pakistani people and was carried out by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) as part of a reconstruction program of quake-affected areas and comes as a complement support for the affected Pakistani people. Al-Malki has explained that the hospital includes 284 beds, equipped with the latest technologies to provide preventive and surgical diagnostic and therapeutic services to the people of Manshara and the nearby, pointing out that the hospital was handed over to the Pakistani authorities after being supervised by SFD for two years at a cost amounted to 823,500,000 Rupees. For his part, the Director General of Projects of the National Authority of Pakistan for the reconstruction and rehabilitation in the quake-affected areas Aftab Qureshi, thanked the Kingdom represented by SFD to build this modern hospital, built on a 198,724 sq.ft, symbolizes the strength of brotherly relations linking the two countries and their two peoples and will significantly contribute to significantly alleviate the sufferings of those affected . He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seen as the largest supporter of development in Pakistan, and that SFD has contributed to the implementation of several projects in Pakistan, especially the education and medical service fields in addition to improvng the road network and reconstruction of quake-affected areas, floods and terrorist acts. The opening ceremony was attended by the Regional Director of the Operations Department at SDF Eng. Abdullah Mohammed Al- Shuaibi, the Project Manager in the Operations Department of SFD Eng. Yasser Abdulkarim Al-Bakri and a number of officials.
