The Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers for Meteorology and Climate has unanimously elected the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Chairman of the Executive Bureau in recognition of its outstanding meteorological efforts. This came during the Council's second meeting at the League of Arab States in Cairo, held in the participation of Member States of the Bureau: United Arab Emirates , Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, The Sudan and Djibouti. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Khalil bin Musleh Al-Thaqafi, discussed a number of topics on its agenda focusing on aviation meteorology.
