Egypt condemned the continued use of violence and excessive force by the Israeli occupation authorities against unarmed Palestinian civilians who took part in peaceful demonstrations for the second consecutive week in the occupied Palestinian territory. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that Egypt's refusal to use force and the loss of civilian lives participating in peaceful marches demanding the legitimate and just rights of the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to work hard to restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially the right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital, as well as the rest of the rights recognized by international legitimacy.
