The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made yesterday evening a telephone call to President Donald Trump of the United States of America. At the outset of the call, the King expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Trump for the good reception of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation headed by HRH Crown Prince on an official visit to the United States of America, fruitful meetings and signing important agreements benefiting the two friendly countries, in addition to the results achieved by the visit which has had good repercussions in the Kingdom and abroad. The President stressed the success of the visit of HRH Crown Prince, its remarkable impressions on United States officials and the private sector, which reflects the distinguished relationship witnessing the best levels between the two countries. During the telephone call, they reviewed a number of regional and international issues, especially the recent developments in Palestine, as The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasized the necessity of moving the peace process track in the Middle East within the framework of international efforts, assuring the Kingdom's firm positions on the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital. The King expressed his appreciation for the statement issued by the White House and its strong stand towards Al-Houthi militias who continue their aggressions due to the Iranian support, affirming the Kingdom's efforts to find a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and provide humanitarian and relief support for the Yemeni people. For his part, President Trump stressed the need to confront the Iranian threat aiming to destabilize the region, praising the role and efforts of the Kingdom in achieving stability and its appreciated efforts in this regard. The King and the US President emphasized the importance of what has been achieved within the framework of concerted international efforts to fight the terrorist Daesh (ISIS) organization in Iraq and Syria, as in this regard, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the need to find a solution to the Syrian crisis that fulfills the aspirations of the Syrian people and maintains their territorial unity and integrity.
