The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasel, has held a reception ceremony in honor of Dr. Tamadar Al-Ramah, the Saudi candidate for membership of the United Nations Committee on elimination Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in the presence of a number of ambassadors accredited to the United Nations. The Saudi Ambassador said in a speech during the ceremony that Dr. Al-Ramah is responsible for implementing three of the 37 strategic objectives set out in the KSA's Plan for Development within the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which deals with women's rights, pointing out that the Kingdom has always worked on developing the role of women as an important component in its march towards progress.
