Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Explicit diplomacy to resolve crises'' wrote that the Kingdom has been characterized since its foundation by the founder late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, his successors, the Kings until the present prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz with its distinguished diplomacy and wise policy in solving many Arab intractable issues and crises. The paper noted that the arrival of world leaders and officials in the Kingdom to obtain its advice and views on various complex issues in the world represents an implicit recognition of the wisdom of its leaders to address the harshest and most difficult issues in the world, pointing to the Kingdom's participation in many debates and deliberations on these issues at international forums and its contributions to achieving the highest levels of peace and security throughout the globe. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled '' The US expected plan'' wrote that the discussions at the United Nations Security Council on the Palestinian issue after Washington's recognition of Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as the capital of Israel took a different direction and revealed an American intention for a new peace plan that is still not clear in light of the Palestinian rejection of the United States of America's role as a mediator which is no longer seen by Palestinians as neutral. The paper added that If Israel were serious about achieving peace in Palestine, it would have accepted the Arab peace initiative that has been put forward for 16 years, an initiative that is unprecedented in all its items.
