Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper commented on the third anniversary of the King's pledge allegiance, saying that Saudi people renew their pledge allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, hailing the successive achievements and huge leaps of remarkable progress that the Kingdom witnessed in various developmental fields. In the same context, the newspaper added that the Kingdom remained steadfast in its solid stance towards the issues of Arabs and Muslims, adapting its external relations to the supreme interests of the nation, restoring prestige and consideration to the Arab and Islamic nations by establishing alliances to combat terrorism and its organizations everywhere. The Kingdom has borne the burden of defending the legitimacy of Yemen, and the burden of defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, Al-Youm newspaper said. Al-Riyadh and Okaz newspapers commented on the Iranian-backed Houthi's attach in Riyadh city, saying that a wide condemnation expressed by heads of states and international leaders in response to the failed attempt by the Huthi militias to attack the city of Riyadh. The newspapers said that the Saudi air defenses proved their strength and ability to repel the Huthi rebels and others. Al-Riyadh and Okaz newspapers added that King Salman bin Abdulaziz and President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation and discussed measures to implement Security Council resolutions on Iran's violations and ways of accounting them for their aggressive actions, as the Iranian regime, since the Khomeini revolution, has not ceased to exercise its aggressive policy, which posed a threat to security and peace in the region and the world.
