Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries to fight terrorism at an early time, as well as the world's largest country to adopt initiatives aimed at eradicating this dangerous scourge. It added that the Kingdom's efforts have succeeded in chasing terrorism and terrorists, as its experience has become a model for the integrated security and intellectual work to counter terrorist acts. Al-Riyadh and Okaz newspapers commented on Syrian negotiations, saying that the divergence of positions between opposition and government delegations and their insistence on their positions will only prolong the crisis for a longer time. After the recent meeting in Riyadh, the opposition has unified its ranks and now it can submit its project for all unified sovereign Syria, the newspapers said.
