Saudi newspapers commented in their editorials today on the current events in a number of Arab countries, particularly fighting terrorism, and other local, regional and international topics. Commenting on fighting terrorism, Al-Nadwah, Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum and Okaz newspapers, pointed out that the meeting held by the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday on the establishment of International Center for Combating Terrorism gave a new impetus to the proposal of ??the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 2005, noting that the United Nations has agreed on the proposal and is now seeking to activate it. The papers commended the King's proposal and considered it as a natural step in the long march of war on terrorism, noting that the Kingdom has succeeded at the local level in the fight against terrorism and its defeat in various locations, pointing out that the Kingdom has been targeted by terrorists and suffered from their criminal plans.
