The New Zealand Muslim community has condemned the crimes and human rights violations being committed by the armed Al-Houthi militias in Yemen. The head of the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand Hazem Arfa condemned in a statement issued today the crimes being committed by Al-Houthis and the gangs of "Ali Abdullah Saleh" against the Yemeni people and making children as human shields in contravention of international conventions and laws, expressing the concern of the Muslim community in New Zealand for these inhumane practices. The statement reviewed the developments of the Yemeni crisis and the movement of the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support and assist the Yemeni people at the political, humanitarian and health levels, and their military operations based on international legitimacy and in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions, in particular resolution No. 2216 of 2015.
