The Supreme Council called upon the international community to shoulder its responsibility to support the Syrian refugees, lauding the efforts and assistance provided by the GCC countries to alleviate the human suffering of the displaced people and refugees from the Syrian people because of crimes carried out by Basher Al-Assad's regime. The council stressed that the Syrian brothers are treated as residents in the GCC countries. 42. The Supreme Council expressed its deep concern at the increasing hostile rhetoric, racist and inhumane against refugees generally and Muslims particularly, reiterating its call for the countries, humanitarian agencies, civil society organizations and the media to prevent any racist speech and to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility in order to provide the necessary protection for the displaced and refugees who are fleeing from the flames of the terrorist groups and unfair authorities. 43- The Supreme Council welcomed the Security Council resolution no. 2235 dated on August 2015 regarding establishment of a joint mechanism between the United Nations and the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to identify those responsible for the use of chemicals including chlorine gas during the conflict in Syria, considering that a message from the international community to address the use of these banned weapons internationally. The council called for a serious cooperation of the international community in this regard to hold accountability for those responsible for these crimes. Yemeni Affairs: 44- The Supreme Council praised the victories achieved by the Popular Resistance and the army is loyal to the legitimacy against the Houthi militias and Ali Abdullah Saleh and the liberalization of Aden and a number of cities and provinces of Yemen, stressing continuation of a support and assistance to President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and his legitimate government in order to restore security and stability in all parts of Yemen. 45- The Supreme Council reaffirmed its full commitment to the unity of Yemen and respect for its sovereignty and independence, rejecting any interference in its internal affairs. The council emphasized the importance of a political solution in accordance with the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and Conference Riyadh, and unconditional implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216 (201 ). 46- The Supreme Council praised the efforts of the United Nations through an envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations in the Republic of Yemen Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed for implementation of resolution no. 2216, welcoming announcement of resumption of consultations in Switzerland on 15, December, 2015 and the approval of the Yemeni government to participate. --More 19:59 LOCAL TIME 16:59 GMT تغريد
