The Emirates Central Bank issued here today two circulars to operating banks on transactions with Qatari banks, to search for and freeze any accounts, deposits or investments belonging to any of the persons and entities mentioned in the Cabinet Resolution No. 18/2017, approving the names of 59 individuals and 12 terrorist entities. The statement added that at the same time, a number of financial institutions had been pinpointed for opening bank accounts for these terrorist individuals and entities, as a result, the Central Bank issued a second circular directing banks and other financial institutions operating in the country to immediately apply enhanced procedures against Qatar Islamic Bank, Qatar International Islamic Bank, Barwa Bank, Al Rayyan Bank, Qatar National Bank and Doha Bank.
