Minister of Justice Sheikh Dr. Waleed AlSumani announced today the privatization of the ministry's first service after the launch of "AlMwathiq" electronic service which allows, in its first phase, issuance of powers of attorney and legalization of articles of associations through offices owned by the private sector. The offices will be providing the service in different times throughout the day all week long in an electronic process. The service is developed and operated with the help of our strategic partner, Thiqah Business services. The launching event, of the first phase of the service through 269 licensed notaries, was held at the Minister's office. Dr. AlSumani stated that the service is one of the ministry's initiatives in the national transformation program 2020 that aims to enhance the documentation process by involving the private sector in a way that broadens the privatization of the justice services, supports the national economy and is in line with the 2030 vision goals. The minister also clarified that the ministry has held 8 workshops in different cities of the Kingdom where hundreds of licensed notaries were invited to know more about the new electronic service, adding that many features will be added to the service in the coming phases, all in the purpose to facilitate benefiting from the justice services by the public and the private sector. Dr. Waleed also explained that all the powers of attorney and association articles that will be documented through the service are certified by all governmental entities and the justice departments. The official notaries of the ministry will remain providing the service during the official working hours. The new service will enable the beneficiaries to carry out issuance and revocation of power of attorneys as well as legalization of Articles of Associations. What needs to be done is to visit the online portal https://mwathiq.sa, look for the closest notary, contact them and easily finalize the process with the notary. The ministry has called on all beneficiaries to visit the website of the online portal https://mwathiq.sa, or call 920000508 for inquiries and complaints. The service in its original form will also be provided through the ministry's notaries during the official working hours, and everyone can benefit from it.
