RIYADH: Minister of Justice Muhammad Al-Issa Wednesday opened the new Makkah Court of Appeal and First Notary Public buildings. The minister and president of the court, Sheikh Abdulmuhsin Al-Khayal, toured the two buildings and were briefed about the technical and administrative equipment. The minister said the two buildings are part of the King Abdullah's plan to develop the judiciary, noting the ministry is now working on constructing modern infrastructure for all courts, notaries public and ministry branches all over the country. The minister said a great deal of work, in terms of computerization and training, has already been completed. Al-Issa said that the ministry has formed a specialized team to develop notary public procedures. The offices of the notary publics will be computerized in four months. He said the ministry has established an information center with a database which enables it to monitor and analyze the data of all linked courts and departments. He said 19 courts and 20 notaries public and the ministry's financial and administrative systems have been transferred to the center. Al-Issa said 50 electronic services are provided through the ministry's online portal.
